Brian "Head" Welch is from Bakersfield, California. At the tender age of 11, Head picked up a guitar and found his original calling. Barely out of high school, he helped found the controversial rock band Korn. The band became a grammy award winning, multi-platinum selling band, and quickly soared to the top of the music world while selling some 30 Million records internationally. The band was credited with being the major influence in the rise of the Nu Metal Movement. While with Korn, Head won two grammy awards and several MTV music video awards.
Formed in the mid- '90s, Godhead has been steadily building their fan base and emerging as a true international rock act. Their major label debut release of ‘2000 Years of Human Error’ on Marilyn Manson’s Posthuman Records in January 2001 and the 2003 summer release of the follow-up ‘Evolver’ on Reality Entertainment, have sold well over 200,000 copies to date world-wide. After years of touring extensively with Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Static-X, Mudvayne, Rammstein, Pigface and Saliva to name a few -- as well as performing at Ozzfest and the Reading and Leeds festivals overseas -- Godhead has scraped, clawed and carved out their own place in the rock music world.
Jason C. Miller (vocals, guitars), Michael Miller (guitars), Ullrich Hepperlin (bass, programming) and Ty Smith (drums)—are set to release their sixth studio album, AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD, October 7 on Driven Music Group (distribution by Ryko/Warner Music Group), the label owned by ex-Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch and music execs Greg Shanaberger and Mark Nawara.
The album—produced by bassist Ullrich Hepperlin--features 13 songs and 5 bonus remixes courtesy of Assemblage 23, Sebastian Komor (Icon of Coil), Curse Mackey (Pigface, Evil Mothers), Shok (My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult) and Fat and Acid (American Head Charge). AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD is 80 minutes of brand new Godhead.
Brian “Head” Welch is one of the founding members of KoRn, a multi-platinum, Grammy award winning metal band and a major influence in the rise of the heavy metal movement. While with KoRn. Brian won two Grammy’s and sold over 30 million albums to date. Brian is a also a successful author and released a book in July 2007 through Harper Collins. The book also titled “Save Me From Myself” spent many weeks on the New York Times best sellers list.
The album, “Save Me From Myself” is a testimony to Head’s life, as he battled with drug addiction and leaving KoRn. The album features renown musicians such as Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper, David Bowie) and Josh Freese ( A Perfect Circle, Evanescence, Nine Inch Nails) and, was mixed by Bob Clearmountain. “Save Me From Myself” is heavy, compelling and inspirational. It’s a heavy rock and roll journey unlike any other!
Coming from New Jersey, 40 Below Summer delivers a solid and surpassed aggressiveness on their edgy and heavy rock tunes, and at the same time supporting it with an indubitable sense of melody by adjoining puissant metal style inflections and other fiery references. The band consists of Max Illidge, vocals, Carlos Aguliar, drums, Hector Graziani, bass, Joe D’Amico, guitar and Jordan Plingos, guitar. In follow-up to the band’s successful recent releases “The Last Dance” and “Rain”. Driven Music Group now bring you the much sought after and rare “Side Show Freaks” release.
One of the legendary bands of the thrash-metal scene, Flotsam and Jetsam, perform live in this concert which was recorded and filmed last year in Poland in front of thousands of screaming Flotsam fans. The two disc set (CD/DVD) includes the band’s classics such as,“No Place For Disgrace”, “Doomsday For The Deceiver” and “Escape From Within”. Flotsam and Jetsam has become a staple over the years within thrash metal circles. The band was formed in Arizona by vocalist Eric A. K., guitarists Michael Gilbert and Edward Carlson, bassist Jason Newsted, and drummer Kelly David-Smith. After signing with Metal Blade Records, they recorded their rough, but ambitious 1986 debut, “Doomsday for the Deceiver”, which displayed a huge Metallica influence. Ironically, the metal giants would soon recruit Newsted to replace bassist Cliff Burton, who had died in a tragic tour bus crash. In another strange twist, Flotsam and Jetsam then signed with Metallica's label Elektra, for whom they recorded their second album, 1988's “No Place for Disgrace." Flotsam supported the record by touring North America relentlessly. Switching to MCA, the band issued three more albums (1990's “When the Storm Comes Down”),1992's “Cuatro”, and 1995's “Drift”) The band went back to Metal Blade for three more albums before releasing “Dreams Of Death”(Crash Music) in 2005.

MUSIC VIDEO CONTROVERSY
HEAD’S RESPONSE TO VIDEO CONTROVERSY,
CD BEING PULLED OFF OF SHELVES AT SOME RETAILERS,
AND OPEN CHALLENGE TO CONSERVATIVES
I have received a handful of messages from some conservative people complaining about the sex and drug references in my new music video for FLUSH; and, I have recently learned that some select retailers are pulling my CD from their shelves because of my music video’s content. So, I wanted to give an explanation of what the video means to me; and to address those select retailers that are pulling the CD from their shelves:
The video for FLUSH is about Crystal Meth addiction and the crazy things anyone addicted to Meth will do while they’re high or to get their fix. Everything the models were doing in the video is what I was wrapped up in while I was addicted to Meth. The video is a very realistic look at the addiction and where it will lead you if you get hooked. I understand the images of the models may be too much for some people, but honestly, I was just trying to be real with what happened in my life and show where I was, as well as where I am at now.
Save Me From Myself debuts at #13 on Billboards Hard Music Chart and # 63 Billboard Top 200 Chart.
The Head's first music video "Flush" makes it debut on Head's website.
